Networking / MLM Professionalism
Networking/MLM is one of the Industry that’s introduced in our country years ago and has able to produce Millionaire. Looking this sense, we as Networkers should be Professionals.
Professionalism can be found through different aspects; #1 on our Attitude, #2 By informing our prospects about our products and companies, #3 Tools that we are using in our Business, #4 Our physical appearance… and so forth. Lets discuss each.
#1. Attitude – a thing that our prospects and co-networkers are very much aware of. This represents ourselves. Right attitude can be accompanied with right motivation, vision, perception and good results to your network. As we speak of professionalism, Networkers should be, Open-minded, Thirsty of Knowledge, Industrious, Patient, Accountable, Responsible, Focused, Observant, Motivated, Approachable, Cheerful, and Willing. Actually, there are alot to mention, but by having these, you will surely project a very professional person whom will succeed.
#2. Informing our prospects – Let me ask you a question… “Is everybody our prospect?”… one question, that has been ignored by almost all Networking companies here in our country, without having realization that not all people we knew and are around us doesn’t need, doesn’t want the thing, products and companies that we have. Where should we put professionalism on this one?… Are you familiar with the 3-foot Rule?…that’s a strategy rampantly being used by “most” networkers. Have you able to ask yourself… is this professional?. Fact: It’s annoying if someone you don’t know approach you, talk to you about something… about theirselves… about their companies…and about their opportunities. We have what we call “Privacy circle”, if someone you don’t know invades this circle you tend to oppose and be defensive. The thing that will first comes in your mind…”How can I escape?”, please correct me if I’m wrong. You will always think negative on that person who approached you.
Scenario… Do you see any dentist who goes out the streets, approaching people… asking them, do you have any plaque that you wanted me to remove? Same thing as… Do you see any lawyer approaching people….asking them, did you commit any crime? Did you kill your mother? I can solve that for you…
Try to realize…
We have so many ways of informing our prospects… We first need to know on how we can “educate” them. Networking is not a fish in the market that you can sell to everybody. We have to know who needs our products, who wants our company and who are willing to be part of our team. That’s one way we can show professionalism.
#3. Tools we are Using. – I will enumerate some ….. Computers for our virtual photos that we use to tag to our friends in our Social Network Accounts, Leaflets, Flyers, Clearbooks and ofcourse ourselves. I would say that as Networkers we need computers and Internet for us to spread information as fast as it could be, but please use it wisely and professionally. I do not recommend tagging pictures of your opportunities to your friends…it’s spamming…and to your prospects that’s annoying. Put yourselves on your propects’ shoes, aren’t you gonna be annoyed if you have 10 friends from different Networking companies, tagging you photos of their opportunities, saying that they are the best? bombarding their products… destroying the beauty of your account?…imagine…. 10 different photos that you need to delete everyday, everytime that you log on to your social account.? Portraying the idea of insisting your opportunity gives a realization to your prospects that you are eager to get their money. Be professional…. do not tag…just educate. Next… Clearbook… we don’t have to argue on this, because using this tool, you can have a full idea about your company, products and marketing plan… but let me say… e-books are much better than clearbooks. It’s a lot more informing. Then… there’s the leaflets and Flyers…. One thing that I want to emphasize….. if you are giving away flyers… and you tell your prospects that they can be Millionaires by doing your opportunities…ooopsss… as your prospect….”So if I will grab the opportunity that you are offering me…do I also need to give away flyers?”…. Networkers..don’t give your prospect this idea.. Think….
#4 Our Apperance – We as Networkers are offering Great Opportunities to people, so be decent and as much as possible, try to look as formal as you can. Dump to trash those delapidated clothes, untidy shoes and droopy looking accessories. Invest money to buy decent clothes. Prospects always have their first impression about the companies and opportunies that you are offering by just merely looking on you for the first 5 seconds.
